Family Workshop: Make a Yokai Costume

Get inspirations from Japanese folklores of Yokai's, spirits of nature, and design your own creature costume.

Kappa, the river monster, or Yuki Onna, the snow ghost, are just examples of Japanese Yokai's that are connected to nature. What Yokai would you become? In this workshop, you will be using paper and other materials to create a wearable costume inspired by Japanese folklores.

Booking information:

This is a family workshop, where adults are required to participate along their children. We recommend the ratio to be at least one adult per three children.

This workshop is recommended for children aged 4+. We regret that we cannot allow younger siblings without tickets in the workshop room.

If you are no longer able to attend, please kindly let the V&A know so we can release your places. Unfortunately, we are only able to offer refunds in exceptional circumstances.

If the V&A needs to cancel the event due to an emergency, or for any reason beyond the control of the V&A, we will reschedule your booking for a later date or offer a refund.
