Join artist Davinia-Ann Robinson who makes art using sculpture, writing, sound, and performance, to create sculptures though hands-on experimentation and exploration. Create the outlines of different limbs and make bodily impressions using clay to leave traces of yourself and your movements.
Get inspired by Davinia’s work and experiment with sculpture as a family to explore your connections to land.
Use your sculptures as part of a group installation and discover your own way of expressing your relationship with the land!

This is a families event for adults to do with children; no child can be left unattended. Suitable for ages 5+.

During this workshop, you will be using some messy art material (such as clay) that might stain your clothes or dry your skin – we will provide aprons and gloves if needed, as well as wipes/water for cleaning, but we recommend wearing something you don’t mind getting stained. Please note that all stains will be washable.

This event is part of the Summer of Sculpture. The Summer of Sculpture is a series of programmes and events celebrating the Thomas J. Price Display coming to the V&A and the range of identities that exist within the collection. Across August, families are invited to explore how artists create sculptures inspired by the human form and to how we can explore identity through art, design, and performance.
