Encounter a pop-up installation created by students from the MA Textiles at Norwich University of Arts, responding to the magnificent Stoke Edith wall hanging and Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream

In the play, the forest is a place of chaos, while Athens is a place of order. Where the Wild Thyme Blows reimagines the classicism of the Stoke Edith wall hanging – drawing from the sculptures and architecture, flowers, costume and animals – to transform the British Galleries into a wild and magical landscape.

The installation showcases a range of techniques and processes including laser cutting, foiling, weave and print.

Made by Labani Biswas, Emma Carver,  Annie Gough, Eddie Lovell, Caroline Mayers and Lucy Perry.

Supported by the V&A and Norwich University of the Arts.
