The SIM Project combines the histories of photography and jewellery to materialise and value personal digital archives. It focuses on the SIM card, as an international ID card and a key tool for intimate connection that unlocks ‘smartphone suitcases’, to provide a portable sense of belonging.

Launching at the V&A, 3D printed sculptures will feature over a thousand unique SIM-scale glass prints of screenshots, made and worn by people with experience of displacement in workshops across seven countries.

Join the SIM Project team on Sunday 22 September at the V&A for a panel talk and interactive launch of their innovative portable camera and darkroom.

Led by artist Liz Hingley, The SIM Project is grounded in collaboration and supported by a multidisciplinary team.
