Partnering with the V&A to design and deliver eight days of 'Belonging' workshops was a joy from the first. They met ideas with ideas, the curators and artists we worked with were prepared to adapt their pedagogy for new audiences, they were responsive, generous spirited and pragmatic throughout.
Some of our partners and programmes include:
Metropolitan Museum of Art: The Principles of Interpretation
As a bespoke iteration of a longstanding V&A Academy heritage training course, the course content was tailored to meet the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s learning objectives with the aim of honing their team’s interpretation strategies.
National Museum of Lithuania: The Principles of Exhibitions and Displays
Through guided tours of displays and temporary exhibitions, workshops and focused case studies, this onsite course across V&A South Kensington and Young V&A led participants to delve into exhibition programming and strategy, budget requirements and how to establish a target audience.
All-staff training on belonging, in partnership with Thompson Harrison
In a unique collaboration with Thompson Harrison, this fully-catered training over eight days brought nearly 500 delegates from Convex Insurance to the V&A. Through a series of keynotes, object handling sessions covering the breadth of the museum’s collections, and workshops led by the V&A’s curators and external experts, we explored the concept of ‘belonging’ and how to create work environments within which everyone can thrive.
National Art Museum Thailand: Museum Management, Commercial & Exhibition Development
This introductory three-day training programme provided delegates with in-depth, one-to-one conversations with and presentations from senior V&A staff, including members of our executive board and heads of departments. The course offered a 360-degree perspective into a world-class institution’s inner workings, from strategy and planning to practical implementation.
