Past Event

Explore new and innovative approaches to sustainability in fashion through textiles. Go behind-the-scenes with V&A textile conservators in their studio and work with a professional designer to experiment with creative textile techniques.

Join us and other Primary and Secondary teachers at the V&A for a glass of wine and find out about innovators in sustainable textiles through our collections; expand your creative practice through practical, designer-led activities and get and share tips to enrich your own classroom practice.

All materials included, with no prior textile experience/knowledge necessary. This event can be done as a one-off or as part of a V&A Sanctuary Teachers’ CPD series focused on Sustainable Fashion. The second session, Sustainable Fashion: Design & Making, will be hosted in-person at the V&A on 24 March 2023. The third session will be hosted in live webinar format online on 30 March 2023.

Each event is standalone and should be booked separately.

This event is kindly made possible through the Drapers’ Charitable Fund.
