Grinling Gibbons is one of the greatest artists of the English Baroque. His exuberant woodcarvings can be seen in royal palaces, St Paul’s Cathedral, stately homes and the V&A. On the tercentenary of his death, Lennox Cato and Ada de Wit will discuss Gibbons and his legacy.
Ada de Wit is Curator of Works of Art and Sculpture at the Wallace Collection, London and Grinling Gibbons specialist; Lennox Cato is a long established furniture dealer and a contributor on the BBC's Antiques Roadshow.

STAYING SAFE
The V&A has put numerous health and safety measures in place to ensure the museum is a safe, relaxing and inspiring place for our patrons and visitors. We have taken steps to ensure that all V&A sites are reasonably COVID-19 secure with cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance. Hand sanitiser will be available, and face coverings are recommended. Some may choose not to wear face coverings, so please take this into account when deciding to book. A level of social distancing will be maintained, including limiting capacity in the Lecture Theatre.
