Into the Woods - Wood Engraving Workshop

Inspired by the display 'Into the Woods: Trees in Illustration', try your hand at wood engraving – a method of printmaking popular with natural history artists and book illustrators. You will learn how to engrave your own design and take prints from it. Through series of demonstrations and a practical work, you'll work to master the process and skills required to engrave and print like an expert. The display 'Into The Woods: Trees In Illustration' will act as an inspiration through which we will be able to appreciate the finesse, dramatic power and textural richness of this art form.
