Festive Members’ Open Evening

Get in the festive spirit with a special out-of-hours evening at the museum and take part in a range of activities inspired by our current exhibitions and collections. Enjoy crafty workshops, inspiring pop up talks and music to dance to. Expect the return of some past Members' Evening favourites as well as a series of exciting novelties and make the most of a special 20% discount in the V&A shop on the night.

Participate in a variety of hands-on workshops, including a Bollywood Dance Class, Mughal Floral Embroidery, Smartphone Photography and a festive embossed metal ornament workshop. Get creative with sketching in the Medieval and Renaissance Galleries, a Vintage Victorian Christmas Card Collage workshop, saree pleating, and Furoshiki, the art of Japanese gift wrapping.

Deepen your understanding of our collection with 10-15 minute talks from V&A curators, Academy course leaders, guides, and special guests. Topics will include the new His Dark Materials acquisition, the enchanting V&A Christmas Tree installation, The Age of Bronze, the history of the saree with live draping demonstration, and many more.

Feel the festive cheer as the West End Musical Choir returns to the Raphael Court, and dance to 90's runway classics in the Dome. Treat yourself to a Christmas cocktail while enjoying the specially curated Sounds of Fragile Beauty on piano in the Café.
