Donatello: Sculpting the Renaissance
Supported by Rocco Forte
Take inspiration from the Donatello exhibition and Renaissance sculptures to develop your figure drawing skills! Learn fundamental principles of anatomy that lay the foundation for drawing the human body from sculptures in galleries. In this one-day course artist Scott Eaton will introduce you to digital figure drawing and anatomy using our iPads and Apple Pencils and will then lead a tour of the V&A sculpture galleries with set pauses to draw the collection. Using a variety of digital sketching techniques, you will develop your practice and style, whilst looking at sculpture in a new and detailed way.
Workshop led by Scott Eaton:
Scott Eaton is a multidisciplinary artist whose work focuses on the representation and abstraction of the human figure in various mediums – drawing, photography, sculpture, and generative AI. In addition to his own work, Scott frequently collaborates with other artists and studios. Collaborations include work with Jeff Koons, Turner prize-winner Mark Wallinger, Elton John, Pixar, Disney, and others.
