Kate Malone, ceramic artist and judge on BBC Two’s 'The Great British Pottery Throw Down', will discuss her attitude and approach towards creativity in this special one-off talk at the V&A. Using examples including the Snow Lady Gourd from the V&A collections, she will explore the role of ceramics in our lives today, and how having “faith during the process of making” and the confidence to allow the interplay of focus and serendipity contributes to an end result that may not have been imagined at the start.
