In this talk graphic designer Charlie Smith will focus on her experience of creating Balenciaga - Shaping Fashion; how she encapsulated the spirit of the iconic fashion house through the book's dramatic use of colour – red in particular; and channelled the detail and precision of Balenciaga’s craftsmanship through the book.
Graphic design studio Charlie Smith Design has been working on graphic identities for brands and designers ranging from Byron Hamburgers and Royal Mail to Terence Woodgate. The studio recently designed a book on Balenciaga to accompany the V&A show Balenciaga – Shaping Fashion.
