Alice: Curiouser and Curiouser
Come and admire the creative and imaginative artworks by pupils of three primary schools who have taken part in ‘Door to Design’, a project for primary school pupils, teachers and families. 2019 marks the final year of this three-year project. Working alongside artists and designers, the groups learnt about the architecture, design and heritage of the V&A.
Pupils from Colville Primary School teamed up with ceramic artists Alice Walton and Emily Stapleton Jefferis to look at architecture from a new perspective. Textile artist Yemi Awosile worked with pupils from Sir John Lillie Primary School. Together they reflected on how different architectural patterns are present in various areas of the Museum. Pupils from St Stephen’s Primary School collaborated with designers Bahbak Hashemi-Nezhad and Paulina Lenoir to discover the V&A using a range of senses.
Generously supported by John Lyon’s Charity.
