Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear
In partnership with Gucci
Harris Reed will present highlights from his collection in what promises to be an immersive show. The brand’s ethos strives for a vision of gender fluidity and inclusivity, and for Reed, fashion is truly revolutionary and has a huge role to play in pushing the world to a more expressive and accepting place. The show will feature designs from Reed’s collections exploring themes of performance, opulence and self-expression.
Fashion in Motion is supported by Libbie Scher Mugrabi, with additional in-kind support from L'Oréal and M.A.C.
Reed graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2020, he has since shown his collections at the first ever gender-neutral London Fashion Week and was awarded ‘Breakthrough Designer’ in GQ’s annual ‘Men of the Year’ awards in 2021. Reed is a frequent collaborator of Harry Styles – notably dressing him for American Vogue. His designs have also been worn by individuals including Adele, Olly Alexander and supermodel Iman for the 2021 Met Gala.
For over 20 years the V&A’s Fashion in Motion series has brought free-to-attend catwalk shows to the public, enabling anyone to take a seat on the front row. The only fashion series of its kind, it allows people to experience a professional fashion event in the truly unique setting of the museum.
There will be three shows throughout the day at 15.00, 17.00 and 19.00. Tickets are limited and booking is essential.
