Families Workshop: Making and Painting - Natural Inks

Artist Nikki Gardham will guide you as a family to develop your own ‘live’ inks using spices and ordinary household ingredients. Get inspired by the collection to get thinking about images of nature, composition, and design. Using your inks, watercolour techniques, and resistance methods, you’ll explore creating your own designs inspired by nature.
Your family will come away with recipes for how to make natural inks, as well as a series of nature-inspired artworks.
Each workshop is 2 hours long. There are two sessions, starting at 10:30 and 14:00. The 10:30 workshop is recommended for ages 5-9; 14:00 is recommended for ages 10-14.

This is a families event for adults to do with children; no child can be left unattended. Events are popular, and often sell out. We recommend booking a ticket in advance.
