Seeing Things Queerly: Unearthing LGBTQ+ Stories in the Science Museum photo

From mermaid dishware to toy building blocks, the Science Museum Group’s collections are a rich source of material for uncovering hidden queer histories. Laura Bullesbach and Rebecca Mellor are assistant curators and co-founders of the Science Museum London’s Gender and Sexuality Network. Together, they are unpicking these hidden stories to share with visitors.

In this session, Rebecca and Laura will give you the tools to examine queer experiences and representation in new, exciting, and previously untold ways.

Book your ticket using the Eventbrite link here. There will also be drop-in spaces available.

This talk is part of the Great Exhibition Road Festival, taking place across South Kensington 18-19 June 2022. Find out more about the programme here
