Digital Art: Then and Now (Livestream) photo
Digital Art: 1960s – Now engages with contemporary discourses on art, artificial intelligence, computer animation, simulation and cybernetics through the historic works of pioneering artists and renowned contemporary practitioners. Join us for an introduction to the subject of digital art over its more than sixty-year history illustrated by works from the V&A's collection. Hear from curators, artists and others about how the artform has grown from niche experimentation to a globally recognised creative practice.

The talk is being held in conjunction with the launch of a new book, Digital Art: 1960s–Now (Thames & Hudson) and is part of the V&A’s inaugural Digital Art Season which runs until 30 November 2024 addressing questions of technology, creativity and digital culture.

This talk will be livestreamed on Zoom and all ticketholders will receive a link to view the morning of the talk.
