This display celebrates the creativity of young aspiring designers and showcases the breadth of submissions, alongside a selection of previous Jubilee emblem designs.
The Jubilee Emblem design competition was open to young people between 13 and 25 across the UK last year. It was run in conjunction with Buckingham Palace and entrants were asked to design an emblem to signify Her Majesty’s historic, seventy-year reign, and capture the spirit of the national festivities. The winning design was chosen by a panel of graphic designers, visual artists and design professionals, experts from the V&A, the Royal College of Art, the Design Museum, and a representative from the Royal Household, chaired by V&A Director Tristram Hunt.
Edward Roberts’ winning design will feature throughout the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, including televised national events, street parties and community gatherings, and will also be used for all official merchandise commemorating the Jubilee, and across digital and social media.
