Couture Hand Sewing: From Quarter Scale to Full Scale

Designed to complement our sell-out course, Couture Hand Sewing: Make a Dress in Quarter Scale, this one-day workshop will show you how to reproduce your quarter-scale dress in full size. During this session, course leader Rowena Luke-King will talk you through the process of scaling up your pattern to full size and adding side seams to both the top and skirt. She will show you how to grade the pattern up and down from the original UK Size 12; how to test your pattern and make final alterations for the perfect fit. In the second part of the session, you will learn essential sewing skills such as how to insert a zip by hand; stitch a blind hem and a button hole.
