February Half Term: How Does Food Shape Us? photo
Express yourself through collage, drawing and sewing!  Watch a screening, get involved in making fruit preserves and unwind in workshops for the whole family.  
 
Families of all ages are welcome! 
  
This half term will include: 
How Does Food Shape Us?
Pick up a food zine for families by Maia Magoga in collaboration with the Families Team. Recommended age 5+.

Preserving our food!
Korean inspired fruit preserve making and food label design workshop with Maia Magoga.
Art Studio, Learning Centre. Sessions are every 45 minutes from 11.00 – 13.15 and starting again at 14.00 – 15.30. Please book your place for one of the sessions at the entrance of the Art Studio. Recommended age 6+.

Seed Exchange.
Exchange seeds in a space where seeds are more valuable than money, by Something of Sons. 
Please bring your own seeds to exchange if you can or exchange seeds from a selection provided by The Wolves Lane Seed Protectors which will be available at the beginning of each session.
Lunchroom 1, Learning Centre. Sessions of 40 mins starting at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00. Drop-in. Recommended age 5+.

Table of Tales.
Bring food to life by creating your own creatures from vegetables and fruits onto a big tablecloth. 
Learning Centre Reception. 11.00 – 16.00. Drop-in. Recommended age 5+.

P_l_an_t. 
Create your own version of a plant-based meal on a poster with designer Rohit Nandha. 
Dome, Cromwell Road Entrance.  11.00 – 16.00. Drop-in.  Recommended age 5+.

Relaxed screening.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar and the Tiger who came to tea, throughout the day in a sensory space for early years.
Raphael Gallery. 60 mins at 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00. Drop-in. Recommended age 0-3.
 
Digital Kids: Listening Garden. 
Explore the hidden sounds around you, and design your very own garden-inspired sound mix.
Digital Studio, Learning Centre. 11.00 – 16.00. Drop-in. Recommended age 5+.

All activities are free.
 
Visit Essentials and Accessibility  
Food and drinks - Children's meal deals and highchairs are available in our cafés. Packed lunches can be eaten in the Lunchroom or John Madejski Garden.
Breastfeeding & Baby Changing - Breastfeeding is welcome throughout the V&A. Quiet spaces are available for those who prefer privacy. Baby changing facilities are available in most toilets.
Buggy Park - There are main buggy park areas near Cromwell Road entrance and the cloakroom near Exhibition Road entrance. Ask a member of staff to direct you to a buggy park. Some extra buggy park areas will be available in the Learning Centre and Raphael Court, Room 48a.

Ear defenders - ear defenders are available to pick up from the Learning Centre Desk.
