Evening event: Morehshin Allahyari in conversation with Fuchsia Hart photo
An 'in-conversation' with artist Morehshin Allahyari and curator Fuchsia Hart addresses questions of technology, creativity and digital culture.

Morehshin Allahyari is an innovative artist known for her thought-provoking works. Her latest digital commission, Speculations on Capture, is a poetic film that delves into the histories of astronomical instruments from Iran and Pakistan, now housed at the V&A. Allahyari masterfully blends fact and fiction to speculate on lost encounters, diverted knowledge, and cultural histories rendered inaccessible due to displacement. Allahyari will be in conversation with Fuchsia Hart, who is the Sarikhani Curator for the Iranian Collection at the V&A.

This is a free drop-in event and booking is not required.

Part of the V&A’s inaugural Digital Art Season which runs until 30 November 2024.

The commission is supported by the Manitou Fund, Kevin, Rosemary and Hannah Rose McNeely.
