Donatello: Sculpting the Renaissance
Supported by Rocco Forte
Join Artist Jess Miller for a hands-on workshop exploring the human figure through clay. In this workshop, get inspired by the Donatello exhibition to make a relief sculpture with figures that illustrate a story. Play with clay to discover how to tell stories through creating a simple scene in relief.
We’ll fire your relief clay sculptures for you in our Kiln (an oven for clay) to give your sculptures a longer life! Come back at a later date to collect your final sculptures.
You will get to pick up tips on how to experiment with using clay to make sculpture. You’ll come away with your own experimental relief sculpture.
The 10:30 workshop is recommended for ages 5-7; 13:00 is recommended for ages 8-10 and 15:00 is recommended for 11-13.
Tickets are £20 per child, children must be accompanied by an adult. Please book a free ticket for each accompanying adult. Please note that adults will be able to attend only if they've booked a child ticket too.
This is a families event for adults to do with children; no child can be left unattended.
