Crafting 'The Crown' - screening + Q&A photo
The historical drama 'The Crown' garnered extensive praise for its exquisite costume design, remarkable performances, and flawless production design over its many seasons, and is subsequently considered a visual masterclass in the craft of period drama. Before it wrapped in 2023, the V&A was granted exclusive access to the creative teams behind 'The Crown' and gifted a collection of objects from the landmark series that are now part of the V&A’s Theatre and Performance Collection.

Join V&A Curator of Film Emily Harris for an evening’s celebration of 'The Crown', featuring the world premiere new documentary 'The Crown: The Craft'. Following the film, Emily will be joined by Execuitive Producer Suzanne Mackie, Series Set Decorator Alison Harvey, and Supervising Art Director Mark Raggett  for a Q&A exploring the art of production design and set decoration for period drama.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit the Theatre & Performance Galleries as part of the evening’s celebration.
