Make Good Symposium 2024 – Onsite

The symposium brings together international speakers from a range of disciplines spanning design, agriculture, manufacturing and architecture, to discuss the potential of waste, re-use and circularity in production.

As such it takes its cue from Christien Meindertsma’s groundbreaking research into waste wool and linoleum, currently on display at the V&A in Re-forming Waste.

The symposium forms part of the third iteration of the Make Good: Rethinking Material Futures programme, supported by John Makepeace OBE. The ten-year project launched in 2022 and encompasses an annual display in the Dr Susan Weber Gallery of Furniture, an annual symposium and a programme of acquisitions dedicated to exploring the use of renewable, natural materials in design and architecture at a time of climate emergency.

The event will take place from 14:00 – 18:45, followed by a drinks reception.
