Join us in an immersive journey into the world of jewellery making in Ancient Egypt. In this two-and-a-half-hour masterclass you will work alongside Jeweller Mala Siamptani to create protective charm amulets. Using press-forming techniques, you will learn to craft intricate patterns in jesmonite and metal, like metalworking and craftsmanship of the ancient world.
Ideal for both beginners and experienced creatives, the workshop combines historical storytelling with hands-on making. Starting with a short visit to the
Making Egypt exhibition at Young V&A you will explore the past, sparking imaginations, and leave with a unique keepsake that shows both beauty and meaning.
