Henry Cole, who aimed to champion newly-emerging design industries, and collector and art connoisseur JC Robinson played a fundamental role in the foundations of the V&A’s stunning collections. Key pieces collected by the pair in their quest to shape the V&A to their personal taste remain on display to this day.
