Join us in Open Studio for free drop-in activity exclusively for 11-14 year-olds. Each month we will work alongside designers and makers to share and develop your making skills, while making new friends! Each month we will alternate between textile or a print workshops, please see the upcoming themes below.
All materials provided (unless stated) No super crafty skills required just a readiness to get creative!
Each participant must be accompanied to the museum and Open Studio by an adult, during the activity, adults are welcome to explore the rest of the museum.
Sat 28 December - Salvaged Sparkle
Work alongside teen author and sustainable fashionista Tash Bell!
Bring along a preloved top, and transform it into a sparkly, one-of-a-kind piece to swish into the New Year! Dive into our ‘treasure horde’ of discarded fabrics, and rescued materials, using simple sewing skills and upcycling hacks to inspire your designs. Express yourself, and feel good about the planet, turning landfill into fashion that’s unique and gorgeous. Glittery fun guaranteed!

Work alongside Zine designer Natascha Von Uexkull
Create your own two colour Riso printed zine and build a new narrative using collaged images and objects from the collection.
