Known and Strange: Photographs from the Collection
Explore a range of approaches to botanical photography to develop new photography skills. Learn about historical representations of plants and flowers, following the process of botanical photography from sowing seeds to finished print. In this one-day course, you will draw inspiration from the V&A’s collection, explore different techniques and create your own plant compositions. This workshop is suitable for all levels and limited to 16 attendees. Attendees must be 18+.
A DSLR or mirrorless camera is required.
Led by Kevin Dutton:
Kevin is a botanical artist, creating photographic studies of plants and flowers grown in his garden and allotment in South London and inspired by classical painting and illustration. He has won a gold medal at the RHS Botanical Art and Photography Show and his high resolution, hyperreal limited edition prints are exhibited and collected worldwide
