Jewish culture has been part of the V&A’s history since its origins in the mid-19th century. This one-day conference explores Jewish stories at the museum- as revealed through objects, images, collectors and artists- and considers the diverse ways in which Jews have shaped the development of the V&A’s collections.

This will take place on Tuesday 26th November and will include a range of international speakers, addressing different aspects of the V&A’s collections. From Jewish amulets crafted in Renaissance Italy, through to twentieth-century fashion designers, and the contemporary challenges in curating Jewish heritage, this conference will act as a showcase for exciting new research, and a catalyst for further collaboration.

This event will be hosted in-person.

For those who prefer to join remotely, please book free tickets to view the online streaming of this talk here
