With more than 80 million images Getty Images owns one of the world’s largest photographic archives, spanning the birth of photography to the present day. Indian Treasures features a selection of nineteenth century vintage prints from photographic pioneers such as Felice Beato, Samuel Bourne and James Robertson, alongside modern silver gelatin prints. Members are invited to join Matt Butson, Getty Images Archive VP, for a chance to delve deeper into the history behind the archives and to discuss some of the hidden treasures featured in the exhibition.
