Lunchtime Lectures: Irish Art at the V&A photo
Ireland’s rich social and cultural heritage has been explored for a millennia through the medium of art.  Given by  Senior Academy Producer Jenny Phelan, this lunchtime lecture will demonstrate the unique and fascinating history of Ireland’s artistic treasures. For St Patrick's Day week, join us to explore a selection of Irish artists included in the V&A's collection, their cultural identity and the works they produced.

Jenny Phelan graduated from Trinity College Dublin, specialising in Irish Modern and Contemporary Art. She then completed an MA in Museum Studies from University College London. She has worked in a number of cultural institutions around the world including the National Gallery of Ireland and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. For the past ten years, Jenny has worked at the Victoria and Albert Museum, where she manages the art history course programme.
