Opera: Passion, Power and Politics
Sponsored by Societe Generale · In collaboration with Royal Opera House
Something strange has happened in the Medieval and Renaissance Gallery. Another world has sprung up; a courtyard full of music, light and performance. As the clock strikes, a living automaton of singers and musicians springs into life around you, bringing to life one of the most beautiful and unsettling love songs ever written.
Taken from the final moments of Monteverdi’s L'Incoronazione di Poppea, 'I am yours, yours am I' is opera for everyone in 3D and surround sound, produced by award-winning Opera North.
