Dinner and a Movie: Carry On Camping photo

One of Britain’s longest-running film series, the Carry On films kept the nation laughing for over six decades with their bawdy, music hall-inspired humour. Voted the nation’s favourite Carry On in a 2008 poll, 'Carry On Camping' is a classic from the franchise which exemplifies a very British kind of comedy. To coincide with the opening of our new galleries 'Laughing Matters: The State of a Nation', join us for a special screening of 'Carry On Camping' followed by a Q&A with the galleries’ curator, Simon Sladen, and leading historian of British comedy and Carry On expert, Robert Ross. The evening will end with a themed three-course dinner in the Members’ Room.
