Thinking about an online course? Join V&A Senior Curator of Metalwork for a free live online lecture to explore how historic armour takes us closer to our ancestors than you might have imagined.

Hear about how armour was shaped according to contemporary notions of ideal body shape and decorated to mirror clothing styles of its time, while getting to know the V&A Academy learning platform. You will receive a link to join the live lecture 24 hours before the event, as well as a link to the recording afterwards, so that you can enjoy watching the lecture on demand.

This taster lecture links to the 6-week online course 'The Knight in Art: 1066-1918'. The course is led by Dr Tobias Capwell with live lectures on Thursdays, starting on 11 January.
