Christmas tree 'Freedom' photo

This spectacular Christmas tree installation invites you to take a moment of peaceful reflection during an otherwise busy Christmas period. 'Freedom' is a contemporary reimagining of the Christmas tree which evokes tranquillity and joy and is the centrepiece of the this year's bicentenary celebrations, which marked the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s births. Each of the 200 ornately folded origami birds represents a year of the bicentenary.

Created by designer Anna Huennerkopf as part of a competition for students of the University of Applied Sciences in Coburg.
