This Craft Week, join Master Carver Clunie Fretton for a live demonstration of wood carving, where she will show some of her work from the Sky Arts Master Crafters series as well as a piece carved in collaboration with the V&A. Clunie will showcase the techniques and tools of the trade, and share expert tips for any budding carvers.
Prior to this event, at 1pm Clunie will be in conversation with V&A Curatorial Fellow in Furniture History Jenny Saunt in the main Lydia and Manfred Gorvy Lecture Theatre. Clunie and Jenny will discuss the history of the craft, Clunie’s career and work, her upcoming appearance on Bill Bailey’s Master Crafters: The Next Generation and collaboration with the V&A.
