In celebration of the 400th anniversary of Monteverdi’s extraordinary Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda (The Combat of Tancredi and Clorinda), director Fabio Cherstich and choreographer Philippe Kratz have reconceived the piece, which translates the struggle between man, woman and religious belief into a powerful contemporary dance performance.

Aligning with the composer’s original vision, this contemporary interpretation of a “sacred text” of Italy’s cultural heritage combines physical action, instrumentation and voices.

The performances will happen at 11:00 and 13:00
