Artist and writer Edmund de Waal is known for his large scale porcelain installations as well as his literary works, often exploring the history and resonance of objects. Join him in conversation with V&A Director Tristram Hunt for a discussion of his inspirations and practice, and their shared love for ceramics, including an exploration of the remarkable connection between Josiah Wedgwood, porcelain, and the hunt for the great white clay.

The talk is in celebration of de Waal’s collaboration with the V&A and Wedgwood: On the White Road, a limited-edition series bone china plates inspired by objects from the V&A and V&A Wedgwood Collection.
