Friday Late: Freedom of Movement

Join us and London's emerging artists and designers after hours for performances, workshops, installations and music

+44 (0)20 7942 2000

Through dance, this Friday Late explores the experience of migration, displacement, and what it means to not just exist, but thrive in the face of adversity.

Experience a powerful dance performance and accompanying photography exhibit from FUBUNATION, confronting the conflict of never really belonging in a western society that fails to recognise African & Caribbean people’s contribution to its legacy. Be immersed in pop-up film installations around the galleries that speak to the importance of migration histories and the expression of different bodies in movement. Watch a spellbinding infusion of aerial performance with digital projection from our artist-in-residence Sian Fan, and much more.

This Friday Late is part of the V&A Performance Festival.
All events are free, and places are designated on a first- come-first-serve basis unless stated otherwise. Filming and photography will take place at this event. If you have any access requirements, please let us know in advance by emailing disability@vam.ac.uk
