Across the day, get creative with hands-on activities that celebrate Diwali and explore light, colour and community.
Some highlights include:
Diwali Block Printing Immerse yourself in the art of Indian woodblock printing this Diwali. After a brief introduction to the history of this traditional craft, you will be guided through the process of printing with hand-carved woodblocks to design your own vibrant Diwali cards.
Mughal Motif Embroidery This drop-in workshop invites families to create a collaborative community-based art piece inspired by the rich history of Mughal motifs. Pre-chosen templates of various Mughal designs will be provided, and families will embroider these motifs onto a collaborative fabric. The project symbolises the essence of Diwali as a festival of togetherness, where people from different backgrounds come together to celebrate community, creativity, and shared heritage.
