Lunchtime Lecture: The Great Mughals: Art, Architecture and Opulence photo
In the late 16th century a new and distinctive art was created in the imperial Mughal workshops. Iranian masters drawn to the Persian-speaking court combined their talents with artists and craftsmen from all over the provinces of the expanding  empire. This talk describes the evolution of Mughal art across a hundred years and the reigns of three remarkable emperors.

Sue Stronge is a Senior Curator in the Asian Department of the V&A and curator of the current major exhibition, The Great Mughals: Art, Architecture and Opulence.
