The V&A runs a varied and diverse community programme which addresses barriers to engagement through innovative and diverse programming. This one day course will look at the ways in which museums and cultural institutions engage with different communities in an effective way and how to create impact through programming.

Ruth Dewa-Ayu oversees the programming for Adult Communities at the V&A which aims to broaden the scope of underrepresented audiences and vulnerable groups working towards fostering a sense of belonging & entitlement. She is leading on projects which work with ex-offenders, adults with early onset dementia, long-stay hospital residents and refugees
