Looking for something to do on the weekend? Join Make its for hands-on, family-friendly activities, inspired by the Museum’s collection and exhibitions.

This Make it invites your family to explore textiles and fashion, through printmaking! Get inspired by the Naomi In Fashion exhibition to design your own prints for fashion. Take turns on a portable printing press, using printing making inks, to bring your designs to life on fabric.

Come along to learn some new skills as a family. Let your child take the lead, but work together as a family to explore designing and creating.

Your family will come away with fashion inspired prints on textiles to take home and new skills around how to make print designs on fabric.

We will provide pieces of fabric to print on, but you are very welcome to bring any fabric item you would like to personalise with your print, such as t-shirts, tote bags or pouches.
We recommend bringing a leakproof bag with you to take your piece home, as the ink will dry during the session, but will need to be fixed at home with an iron.

This workshop has been developed by printmaker Kim Chin and will be delivered by artist J.King of JK Arts CIC.
All materials will be provided, all sourced sustainably.

No previous experience is necessary, just come along and join in!

The 10:30 workshop is recommended for ages 5-7; 13:00 is recommended for ages 8-10 and 15:00 is recommended for 11-13. Each workshop is 90 minutes long.

Tickets are £20 minimum for one adult and child pair. You can add extra adult or child tickets to this booking. Please book one £10 ticket for each child and for each additional adult attending. Children must be always accompanied by an adult.

Please note that adults will be able to attend only if they've booked a child ticket too.
This is a families event for adults to take part in with their children; no child can be left unattended.
