Past Event

The Quiet Morning is completely free and accessible to families with children aged 0-14. All children and adults will need to book.
For this event we will be opening the Young V&A an hour early for visitors who will have access to the public galleries: Play, Imagine and Design with operational considerations and reduced sound stimuli across the galleries, café and toilets.

From 9-10am ticket holders will have exclusive access to the public galleries. From 10am members of the public will be able to access the museum, but activities in the galleries will remain exclusive to ticket holders for this event.

As well as enjoying the galleries, you will have access to activities from artists and performers responding to the galleries, the collection and the museum building itself with inclusive, interactive content.

Natalya Martin will perform a sensory story inspired by an object from the Adventure gallery, sculptor Matt Shaw will lead a drop-in collaborative making workshop and visitors will be able to join tactile workshops responding to museum objects from the permanent galleries.

There will also be access to The Reading Room should you need to take a break.

The Young V&A has a Changing Places Toilet.
