Unboxing a couture Versace dress worn by Naomi Campbell

Join curator Sonnet Stanfill as she unboxes a bejewelled leather dress by Italian designer Gianni Versace.

From his Autumn/Winter 1997 couture collection, the dress was worn by supermodel Naomi Campbell in Versace's final catwalk show – just weeks before his untimely death.

Watch as Sonnet shows us just how carefully the object has been packed, before gently lifting it out to reveal how the dress has been constructed. Take a peek inside as we examine the internal features, searching for clues as to whether this was the very dress that Naomi Campbell wore on the catwalk...
