Taylor Swift has announced yet another huge album! This one is due in April and we couldn’t be more excited! Here’s everything we know so far about the 17-track record…
What is the new album called?
The new album is called: The Tortured Poets Department.
When is it going to be released?
The album is going to be released on Friday, April 19, 2024 – that’s really soon!
How many albums has Taylor released so far?
This new record will be album number 11 for Taylor Swift. Isn’t it amazing how many Taylor Swift albums there are? TTPD follows her last release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) which came after one of last year’s biggest albums: Midnights.
Do we know any of the song titles?
In total there are 17 new songs on the The Tortured Poets Department. We even know the order of the unheard songs. They are:

Do we know any of the lyrics?
We don’t know all the lyrics just yet, but when posting the album’s artwork on her Instagram, Taylor gave us a clue in her caption. “Old habits die screaming”, she wrote underneath, which fans think is likely to be a lyric from the new record.
She also shared a post and wrote what looks to be some more words from one of the songs: “And so I enter into evidence / My tarnished coat of arms / My muses, acquired like bruises / My talismans and charms / The tick, tick, tick of love bombs / My veins of pitch black ink. All’s fair in love and poetry… Sincerely, The Chairman of The Tortured Poets Department.”
Are there any other artists featured on the tracks?
Yes, US rapper Post Malone and UK indie artist Florence + The Machine are said to be featured on songs in the album. Woah – that’s an exciting collaboration.
How does Taylor feel about the new album?
When talking about the forthcoming album Taylor said that the album had been soothing to write, and that songwriting was something that “gets [her] through my life”.
“I’ve never had an album where I needed songwriting more than I needed it on Tortured Poets,” she added.
