ABOUT
The V&A is home to the Glastonbury Festival Archive, an extraordinary collection of objects, sounds, sights and memories that encapsulate Glastonbury Festival. To open up the archive and bring it to life, the V&A has collaborated with digital agency We Are Freak to develop a fully immersive and interactive map of the Festival.
Programmes, posters, photographs and other objects from the V&A’s Glastonbury Festival Archive have been digitised and are embedded within the map, populating the landscape as hundreds of interactive ‘nodes.’ The map also includes memories and images collected from the public as part of our Glastonbury 50-year anniversary callout in summer 2020 and features bespoke films and soundscapes created using content from the archive.
Mapping Glastonbury was produced in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) as part of the Glastonbury @50: Mapping and Visualising Festival Culture project.
