Celebrate our 5th birthday with a full day of FREE exhibitions, the very best live music, tasty treats, extra-special tours, and loads of family fun!
Grab your free ticket to see our blockbuster exhibition, Tartan and be the first to explore our brand-new permanent display, Stories from the Building, telling the fascinating behind-the-scenes stories of how V&A Dundee was brought to life in 2018.

High-energy Tartan-inspired performances by local young people’s street-dance group.

Glaswegian singer-songwriter, recently crowned BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year 2023.

Shetland-based performer with a unique blend of hip-hop, spoken word and classical harp.

Celtic-inspired techno from Dundee DJ/violin twin sister duo.
Be Charlotte & Andrew Wasylyk, 20.45 – 21.30, Upper foyer
Hear Andrew and his band perform a selection of Be Charlotte songs with the singer for the very first time.

Try your hand at a range of traditional Scottish handweaving techniques and create your own yarn design to take home with you!
Tartan Tea Party with Shaper/Caper, 11.00 – 16.00, Juniper Auditorium
Join Shaper/Caper for some movement-based activities and see the premiere of film Tea for Two.

From 10.00 - 17.00 enjoy a special selection of delish dishes: Arbroath smokie, leek and Anster cheddar quiche, cow pie with pastry horns, katsu fried chicken tacos, haggis corn dog and Dundee cake. Then, from 17.00 - 22.00 keep the fun times flowing with a great mix of refreshing drinks and mouthwatering munchies!
