Dorodango Workshop with Becky Little

Saturday 22 March

Get your hands dirty with earth's materials and learn the process of dorodango

Create your own clay dorodango with Becky Little in this interactive workshop. As seen in A Fragile Correspondence, dorodango is the process of compressing clay and mud with other natural materials to create mesmerising, shiny and colourful spheres of art.

Becky Little and Tom Morton's (Rebearth and Arc Architects) work Earthbound Orkney: Making with Place, uses the clay earth of Orkney deposited during the last Ice Age and reshaped by Orcadians through 5500 years of art, craft and construction.  The work reflects a dialogue between sourcing and making, energy and matter, time and place. It reawakens our material connection to the land in response to the climate and nature emergency.

Spaces are limited and all materials will be provided.
