Summer’s not over yet at V&A Dundee!

There are only two weeks left of the Scottish summer holidays but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! V&A Dundee still has a fun-packed programme of free activities for the whole family to enjoy before the schools start back.

Families of all shapes and sizes are invited to relax and explore a new dedicated family area in V&A Dundee’s main hall, set up with comfortable seating, design challenges, creative materials, DIY summer binocular activities, and a selection of design inspired books suitable for all ages.

V&A Dundee’s learning studios have been transformed into colourful, character-filled spaces for design workshops with the help of Scottish illustrator Lesley Barnes. Running daily 2-4pm until 14 August, Making Shapes! welcomes young visitors to create their own characters, costumes and set designs whilst exploring playful movement and dance.

For under-5s, Wee Design + Play provides creative materials toys in workshops led by designers while Shake, Rattle + Stroll encourages energetic little ones to move around, dress up, read stories and make some noise!

If the weather is just too good to ignore, families can embark on the Seek + Peek! self-guided activity trail, which takes visitors on a playful route around the museum plaza, waterfront urban beach and community garden. A new Fun-usual Gardens workshop on 25 September will encourage families to reimagine indoor and outdoor dream gardens.
